Job Summary
A luxury game reserve in the Western Cape is looking for a capable and hands-on Assistant Management couple to join their team. One partner will take on a Field Guide and Maintenance-focused role, while the other will manage Reservations, Administration, and operational support. Role 1: Field Guide & Maintenance Support What You’ll Be Doing Lead engaging game drives and bush walks (where qualified) Share knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation with guests Ensure guest safety and deliver high-quality, personalised experiences Oversee general maintenance of lodge facilities, vehicles, and equipment Handle basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, mechanical) Assist with upkeep of roads, grounds, and reserve infrastructure Support operational logistics, including guest transfers and general assistance during busy periods What We’re Looking For FGASA Level 1 (minimum) or equivalent Valid driver’s licence and PDP Practical; hands-on maintenance ability Strong interpersonal and guest engagement skills Physically fit and adaptable to flexible working hours Role 2: Reservations & Administrative Coordinator What You’ll Be Doing Manage bookings, enquiries, and guest correspondence Maintain reservation systems, availability, and rates Liaise with agents and tour operators Assist with hosting guests when required Handle day-to-day administration, reporting, and record keeping Support invoicing, payments, and general financial admin Assist with operational coordination, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests Provide support to management across various lodge functions What We’re Looking For Proven experience in reservations and hospitality administration Working knowledge of Nightsbridge or similar booking systems Strong computer skills (email, spreadsheets, booking platforms) Excellent communication and organisational ability Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently The Ideal Couple Previous experience working together in a lodge or similar setting Strong team dynamic with clear communication Professional; adaptable, and guest-focused Comfortable living and working in a semi-remote environment Committed to a long-term opportunity No dependants unfortunately Package & Benefits Competitive combined salary, from R 25 000 to R 35 000 combined, depending on experience Live-in accommodation with utilities included
