Job Summary
A modern, well-established Dental Practice in Randburg, Johannesburg, is seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Dental Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about patient care, takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation, and enjoys working as part of a professional dental team.
The successful candidate will assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring that the dentist, patients, and practice environment are well supported.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
HPCSA registered
Good knowledge of dental assisting procedures and sterilisation protocols
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a structured, fast-paced environment
A proactive approach with the ability to take initiative
Good computer skills
Willingness to assist with basic reception duties when required
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the dentist during procedures
Preparing and setting up surgeries for procedures
Sterilising instruments and maintaining proper infection-control standards
Managing stock take and maintaining accurate inventory
Ensuring all equipment and treatment areas are clean, organised, and ready for use
Providing a welcoming and professional patient experience
Assisting with basic reception and administrative duties when required
Maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of the practice
Supporting the dental team with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 & Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:00 (one off Saturday a month)
Salary: R12 000 – R15 000 per month before deductions, depending on experience
