The Executive Opportunity
The organisation is seeking a commercially astute, execution-driven Chief Business Officer (CBO) to assist in leading strategic growth, operational transformation, and business expansion initiatives.
This is not a traditional corporate executive role focused solely on oversight and reporting. The successful candidate will be expected to operate as a strategic growth partner to executive leadership — balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution.
The role requires a leader capable of driving measurable commercial outcomes, modernising operational structures, improving scalability, and positioning the organisation for long-term sustainability and national growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Commercial Expansion
- Develop and execute a clear commercial growth strategy aligned to long-term business objectives
- Drive national client acquisition initiatives within the healthcare and specialist practice environment
- Identify new service opportunities, revenue streams, and strategic market opportunities
- Lead commercial negotiations and assist in securing high-value client relationships
- Develop scalable growth initiatives that support long-term expansion
Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
- Build and strengthen relationships with:
- Specialist medical practices
- Practice managers and healthcare stakeholders
- Hospital groups and strategic industry partners
- Establish referral networks and partnership channels
- Represent the organisation professionally within the healthcare sector
- Enhance strategic positioning and market credibility
Technology, Innovation & Modernisation
- Lead the identification and implementation of:
- Automation initiatives
- AI-assisted workflows
- Digital communication systems
- Operational optimisation strategies
- Drive efficiencies through technology-enabled transformation
- Assist in modernising systems, workflows, and operational structures
- Support employee adoption, training, and change management initiatives
Operational Leadership & Scalability
- Improve operational performance, efficiencies, and service delivery standards
- Develop scalable reporting structures and management systems
- Assist executive leadership with long-term strategic planning
- Contribute to business sustainability, operational refinement, and future-readiness
- Drive accountability and execution across strategic initiatives
Market Presence & Brand Positioning
- Position the organisation as a premium, technology-enabled healthcare administration partner
- Support marketing, networking, and industry engagement initiatives
- Enhance visibility and credibility within the medical and healthcare sector
- Contribute to digital brand growth and strategic communication initiatives

Candidate Profile
Experience
- 8–15 years’ experience in:
- Commercial leadership
- Business development
- Strategic growth roles
- Healthcare, medical administration, or B2B services (advantageous)
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in:
- Business / Commerce
- Finance / Accounting
- Healthcare Management
- Marketing or related fields
- MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous
