Are you an organised, hands-on warehouse professional with strong inventory control skills and the ability to lead a team?
We’re looking for a Warehouse Controller who can take ownership of daily warehouse operations, ensure accurate stock control and keep materials flowing efficiently to production.
What you’ll need:
Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics
Minimum 2 years’ warehousing experience
Experience leading a warehouse team would be advantageous
Knowledge of WMS / Syspro
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Forklift licence advantageous
Code 10 driver’s licence advantageous
Supply Chain / Logistics qualification advantageous
Knowledge of OHAS advantageous
Key responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate daily warehouse activities
Supervise and delegate tasks to the warehouse team
Manage the receiving, putaway and issuing of hardware, fasteners, components and buy-outs
Check and verify incoming goods and ensure accurate GRN processing
Maintain accurate inventory levels and records
Investigate and flag stock variances, delivery issues and quality/quantity discrepancies
Coordinate returns and replacements with relevant departments and suppliers
Ensure materials are packed and issued to production and assembly on time
Conduct regular stock counts and manage non-moving stock
Ensure correct stock rotation and storage using FIFO principles
Maintain 5S standards and a safe, organised warehouse
Train and develop team members
Continuously improve warehouse processes and procedures
Drive the move towards a more efficient, lean and paperless warehouse environment
