Job Summary
Are you an experienced Foundry Team Leader/Supervisor with strong technical knowledge and the ability to get the best out of a production team?
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can drive production, maintain quality and safety standards, reduce scrap and keep the operation running efficiently.
Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric
2+ years’ supervisory experience in a foundry advantageous
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Gravity & High Pressure Die Casting machine setting and basic fault-finding
Strong technical and process knowledge
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
Strong communication and people-management skills
Knowledge of Health & Safety, quality and compliance standards
Understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement principles
A hands-on approach and willingness to train and develop your team
You’ll be responsible for:
✔️ Driving production and team performance
✔️ Maintaining quality standards
✔️ Monitoring and reducing scrap
✔️ Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
✔️ Managing staff utilisation, attendance and performance
✔️ Coordinating with Maintenance, Toolroom, Stores, Planning and Quality
✔️ Ensuring equipment and tooling are available and production plans are achieved
✔️ Driving continuous improvement initiatives
