About Role:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Controller to oversee finished goods warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storage, inventory control, packing and dispatch, while supervising warehouse staff and ensuring high standards of productivity, quality, safety and customer service.
Supervise and coordinate warehouse and packing staff.
Plan and monitor receiving, storage, packing and dispatch of finished goods.
Ensure products are correctly counted, picked, packed, labelled and dispatched.
Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular stock counts.
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
Ensure correct stock rotation, including FIFO where applicable.
Monitor finished goods quality and address damaged or non-conforming products.
Maintain product traceability, labelling and warehouse documentation.
Allocate work and manage employee attendance, performance and discipline.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and warehouse organisation.
Prepare and monitor warehouse performance reports.
Investigate warehouse-related customer complaints and implement corrective action.
Support audits and ISO Quality Management Systems.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity and stock accuracy.
Support 5S, Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Sales.
Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent – Essential
Diploma or Certificate in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is advantageous.
3–5 years' experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
Previous supervisory experience.
Experience in injection moulding, plastics or manufacturing will be highly advantageous.
Experience with WMS and/or ERP systems advantageous.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
Knowledge of 5S, Lean or continuous improvement will be advantageous.
