Our client is seeking a commercially mature Customer Manager to help drive the next phase of growth within a high-trust, founder-led business. This is not a traditional account management role. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in managing and expanding corporate relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional conference and leadership experiences.
Working closely with the founder and leadership team, you will take ownership of key customer relationships while building a robust pipeline of opportunities across medium and large organisations. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients shape conference themes, leadership conversations, and speaker strategies that create meaningful impact.

What You'll Do
• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic corporate accounts.
• Build strong relationships with HR, Marketing, Learning and Development, Leadership, and Conference stakeholders.
• Lead customer discussions around conference strategy, event themes, and speaker positioning.
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities throughout the full sales cycle.
• Drive new business development within medium and large organisations.
• Maintain strong pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, and CRM data integrity.
• Partner closely with the founder on key strategic opportunities and major accounts.
• Develop and implement sales strategies that support business growth objectives.
• Analyse sales metrics and customer trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and project teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
• Represent the organisation as a trusted brand ambassador and subject matter expert.
What You Bring
• 5–8 years or more experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or strategic relationship management.
• Proven success selling premium services such as consulting, executive education, sponsorship, events, media, leadership development, or similar solutions.
• Strong understanding of relationship-led enterprise sales environments.
• Experience engaging confidently with senior executives and decision-makers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and high-value opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and unlock growth opportunities.
• Experience working within a professional corporate environment.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Matric certificate is essential.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field will be advantageous.
