Senior Landscape Architect

An international engineering and construction project team is seeking a highly experienced Senior Landscape Architect to lead landscape design and site implementation on a major infrastructure development in Riyadh. This is a long-term role within a multidisciplinary construction supervision team.

Role Overview

The Senior Landscape Architect will provide technical leadership in landscape design, oversee on-site implementation, and ensure that all landscape works meet quality, sustainability, and regulatory standards. The role combines design authority, construction supervision, and team leadership within a complex infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

? Lead the development and review of detailed landscape designs, including plant selection, materials, and sustainable solutions
? Supervise on-site landscape works from grading through to final planting
? Ensure all works are delivered according to approved drawings, budget, and schedule
? Coordinate closely with architects, civil, MEP, and horticulture teams to ensure seamless integration
? Implement strict quality control procedures across hardscape, softscape, and irrigation installations
? Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practice
? Act as the main point of contact for landscape-related client communications
? Resolve technical issues during design and construction phases
? Maintain documentation including reports, inspections, and quality records
? Lead and mentor junior landscape architects and site teams

Requirements & Experience

Experience

• 12–15+ years’ experience in landscape architecture

• Proven background in large-scale infrastructure or PMC projects

• Strong experience in site supervision and construction-phase quality control

• At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role

Technical Expertise

• Landscape design, plant selection & irrigation systems

• Sustainable landscape practices

• Integration of landscape with infrastructure works

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards

Software Skills

• AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar design tools

• Project management systems and reporting tools

Qualifications

? Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (15+ years’ experience) OR
? Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (12+ years’ experience)
? Membership with a recognised professional body (ASLA, LI, or equivalent)
? Fluent in English (written & verbal)
