Job Summary
In order to be considered the following is required:
- Minimum of 7+ years in high-level media negotiation, planning, or strategic roles within the media or advertising industry
- Proven success in consistently exceeding multi-million Rand negotiation or sales targets
- A portfolio of successful, high-value deals that you have structured and closed
- Deep expertise across TV, radio, OOH, digital and print media platforms, with a strong network in the South African media landscape
- An expert negotiator, with experience structuring complex, high-value media barter deals and consistently maximizing value for both clients and media
- Think strategically and innovatively, crafting media plans that leverage barter model to deliver exceptional ROI
- Understand that success is driven by teamwork, collaborate effectively across teams, working towards shared goals and solutions
- Take full ownership of outcomes, delivering on KPIs and consistently exceeding targets with a proactive, solution-driven mindset
- Understand the financial dynamics of media and advertising, quickly assessing the value of deals and presenting compelling value propositions to clients
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and Secure Media Deals: Lead negotiations with media partners to secure high-value advertising space, optimizing deals for both media and clients
- Develop Strategic Media Plans: Create tailored media strategies that deliver outstanding ROI for clients, leveraging media’s unique barter model
- Onboard New Media Partners: Research and onboard a minimum of 10 new media partners each quarter, identifying strategic opportunities to expand media network
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, operations and client management, to ensure a seamless media campaign execution process
- Maintain Long-Term Relationships: Build and nurture relationships with media partners, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and ongoing success
- Ensure Timely Campaign Execution: Oversee the timely delivery of all media campaigns, ensuring campaigns run smoothly and are delivered as per agreed timelines
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on media campaign performance, ensuring that all deals deliver on agreed KPIs and client expectations
