About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician (Two-Shift System) to join a leading manufacturing company in Belgium.
This position is ideal for a technically minded, hands-on professional who enjoys working with industrial machinery, solving production challenges, and taking ownership of the injection molding process. You will be responsible for setting up molds, operating injection molding machines, maintaining product quality, and assisting with technical troubleshooting to ensure efficient and reliable production.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Production
Install, assemble, and configure molds on injection molding machines using overhead cranes according to assembly plans.
Perform mold changeovers and machine setup.
Input and adjust machine parameters to optimise production performance.
Ensure the correct raw materials are supplied to each production run.
Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
Take ownership of the complete production process from setup to finished product.
Quality & Process Control
Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections on finished products.
Verify products meet quality standards and production specifications.
Adjust machine settings where required to maintain consistent product quality.
Record production data and report deviations where necessary.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
Assist in identifying the root cause of production and technical issues.
Resolve minor machine and process faults where possible.
Escalate complex technical problems when required.
Contribute to process improvements that increase production efficiency, quality, and machine uptime.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Technical ExpertiseCandidates should have practical experience with:
Injection molding machine setup and operation
Mold installation, configuration, and changeovers
Crane-assisted mold handling and positioning
Machine parameter adjustment and optimisation
Plastics manufacturing processes
Production process monitoring and control
Quality inspection and product verification
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Root cause analysis and fault finding
Continuous process improvement
Working independently while collaborating effectively within a production team
Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as an Injection Molding Technician, Machine Setter, Technical Operator, Process Technician, or a similar manufacturing role.
Experience working with industrial production machinery.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly plans.
Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach to work.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned production tasks.
Comfortable working in a two-shift manufacturing environment.
A strong work ethic with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge and skills.
Basic Afrikaans proficiency is essential.
