Maintenance Assistant – 5-star Luxury River Lodge
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join a prestigious 5-star luxury river lodge in Hoedspruit, Mpumalanga. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and reliable individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring that the lodge’s facilities remain in excellent condition.
Key responsibilities:

Assist with general maintenance and repairs throughout the lodge and its facilities.

Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and potential problems.

Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other basic maintenance tasks.

Maintain the lodge’s buildings, equipment, grounds and infrastructure.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.

Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Ensure that all maintenance tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Support the maintenance team in keeping the property in excellent condition for guests and staff.
Requirements:

Previous maintenance experience, preferably within a luxury lodge, hotel or hospitality environment.

Practical knowledge of general maintenance, repairs and basic technical tasks.

A hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Reliable, organised and willing to assist with various maintenance duties as required.

A flexible approach to working hours and the demands of a lodge environment.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
