Assistant Lodge Manager – Klaserie, Mpumalanga

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Lodge Manager to join a luxury safari lodge in the Klaserie area of Mpumalanga. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about luxury safari experiences, exceptional guest service and maintaining high operational standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Lodge Manager with the day-to-day running of the lodge.
  

• Oversee daily lodge operations to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience.
  

• Maintain exceptional standards of service, presentation and hospitality.
  

• Supervise, motivate and support lodge staff across various departments.
  

• Assist with staff training, performance management and team development.
  

• Manage guest relations, handle requests and resolve complaints professionally.
  

• Coordinate with housekeeping, food and beverage, front office and guiding teams.
  

• Monitor stock control, operational procedures and general lodge maintenance.
  

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company standards.
  

• Support the Lodge Manager with administration, reporting and operational planning.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a luxury lodge or safari environment.
  

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  

• Excellent knowledge of luxury hospitality and guest service standards.
  

• The ability to motivate a team and maintain high levels of performance.
  

• A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
  

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  

• A professional, flexible and guest-focused attitude.
  

• Willingness to work in a remote safari lodge environment.
  

Salary: Market-related, depending on experience.
