What You'll Be Doing
As the Equity Valuations & Reporting Specialist, you'll take ownership of the valuation, monitoring, and financial reporting of an extensive equity investment portfolio while partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Investments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing complex equity valuations using DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, and other recognised valuation methodologies.
Developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions.
Monitoring portfolio performance and identifying financial risks, impairment indicators, and value drivers.
Producing insightful management reports, dashboards, and portfolio analytics.
Supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
Presenting valuation outcomes and strategic insights to executive stakeholders.
Driving continuous improvements in valuation methodologies, reporting processes, and internal controls.
Collaborating with investment teams, treasury specialists, fund managers, and key external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a commercially minded finance professional who combines technical excellence with strong business acumen.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years' experience in equity valuation, portfolio management, and financial reporting within banking, investment, or financial services.
Advanced financial modelling skills.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 9 and IFRS 13.
Experience valuing financial instruments and equity investments.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent analytical, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Advantageous
MBA, CA(SA), CFA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
Equity deal structuring experience.
Exposure to African and international financial markets.
