Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Revenue & Reservations Supervisor for a prestigious 5-star hotel in the beautiful Franschhoek Winelands. This role would suit an organised, commercially minded hospitality professional who enjoys supporting a team and understands how thoughtful reservations management contributes to both hotel performance and an exceptional guest experience. You will oversee the daily reservations operation, help maximise occupancy and revenue, and ensure every guest receives professional, personalised service from their first enquiry through to arrival. Key responsibilities Oversee daily enquiries and bookings, ensuring reservations are captured and processed accurately. Guide and support the reservations team, assisting with training and ongoing development. Monitor occupancy, availability, rates and booking trends to identify revenue opportunities. Support pricing strategies, forecasting and revenue reporting. Monitor online travel agencies, booking channels and distribution platforms, maintaining rate parity. Review reservations and revenue reports, highlighting opportunities to improve performance. Liaise closely with Front Office, Sales, Finance and Management to coordinate guest requirements and booking information. Handle special requests, booking queries and guest concerns with care and professionalism. Maintain accurate records and ensure hotel standards and reservations procedures are consistently followed. What we’re looking for Previous experience in hotel reservations, revenue management or hotel operations. Supervisory or team leadership experience would be highly advantageous. Experience within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment is preferred. A sound understanding of reservations systems, online distribution channels and revenue management principles. Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional approach to guest service. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure. Good numerical and analytical abilities, with an understanding of the commercial side of hotel operations. Knowledge of the Franschhoek or wider Winelands hospitality market would be an advantage.
