A prestigious wine and hospitality estate is seeking an experienced Hospitality Operations Director to lead the operational performance and guest experience across their diverse hospitality portfolio, including the Padel Club, Restaurant, Wine Tasting Centre, Events, Accommodation and Reservations. This is a senior leadership role for a commercially astute, hands-on hospitality professional who can maintain exceptional service standards while building high-performing, engaged teams. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across all hospitality departments, ensuring consistent service and brand standards. Drive guest satisfaction and deliver a premium, seamless estate experience. Lead; coach and develop Hospitality HODs, supervisors and teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and a positive workplace culture. Monitor operational performance, budgets, costs, profitability and resource utilisation. Work closely with the Commercial Revenue Manager to translate revenue and performance insights into effective operational actions. Oversee operational planning, systems, stock control, compliance, health and safety and quality assurance. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency and sustainable growth. Manage operational challenges, resolve conflicts and maintain effective communication across departments. Support a healthy, respectful workplace culture and sustainable work-life balance. Requirements SA Citizen Relevant degree or certification in Hospitality, Business, Food & Beverage or Event Management. 10–12 years’ hospitality experience ; including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role . Proven experience managing multiple hospitality operations, ideally within luxury, boutique, wine-estate or premium environments. Strong commercial, operational, financial and people-management skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership abilities. High emotional intelligence and a genuine commitment to service excellence. South African labour, health & safety, environmental and compliance knowledge.
