Our client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the production process. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing operations, meeting production targets, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule and execute production activities to meet customer demand and optimise resources.
Lead, manage, mentor and develop the production team while promoting a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Ensure products meet required quality standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness.
Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory to support uninterrupted production and timely delivery.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, R&D and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues.
Coordinate and oversee the production of samples in collaboration with relevant development and quality teams.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules where required.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to production employees.
Manage production budgets and implement effective cost-control measures.
Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
Prepare and present production reports and key performance indicators to senior management.
Verify product revisions and ensure correct production documentation and files are available before production release.
Support production-related labelling and transfer of printing files to production equipment.
Software & Systems ExperienceExperience with CMMS systems, preferably API-PRO or similar.
Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with PLM systems, preferably ARAS, Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill or similar.
Ability to work with production planning and manufacturing management systems.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
Proven experience in a Production Management role within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in medical technology, safety technology or a highly regulated manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong production planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong understanding of quality, safety and operational compliance.
Proven ability to manage production targets, costs, resources and deadlines.
