Job Summary
A fast-growing FMCG business with a multi-brand portfolio spanning vaping, vehicle air care, and further categories is looking for a Social Media and Content Manager to join their team in Port Elizabeth, EC.This hands-on owner role runs social channels, content, scheduled email, and the AI customer responder end-to-end for every brand — including launching social accounts and content for a new vehicle air fragrance brand ahead of its Q1 2027 South African launch (with US and international launches to follow).
Responsibilities:
Content calendar & approvals: Own monthly per-brand/per-platform content calendars, run the approval matrix, log out-of-calendar posts, and publish on schedule across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Content creation: Write copy, shoot and edit short-form video, take product photography, and maintain a dated content library with usage rights.
Platform administration: Own all social, business-manager, and ad accounts in the company's name; manage master credentials, 2FA, an access register, and quarterly access audits.
Community management: Set and apply tone-of-voice standards, response times, and escalation routes; enforce age restrictions on vaping accounts and run the crisis protocol.
Influencer & creator coordination: Vet and brief creators, manage agreements, approve content and disclosure compliance (ARB Code, FTC), and track results in a creator log.
Email & AI inbox: Send scheduled marketing emails (POPIA-compliant lists), own the AI responder's knowledge base and hard rules, and review at least 25 AI conversations weekly.
Reporting & KPIs: Deliver monthly per-brand social reports with native platform exports, UTM tracking, and a KPI scorecard; set 90-day baselines.,
Requirements:
Matric plus a diploma/degree/certificate in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years' hands-on brand social media management, including 1+ year personally owning a content calendar across 3+ platforms.
Portfolio of brand content personally created, with reach/engagement/follower results.
Proven community management, including handling complaints and escalated situations.
Influencer/creator campaign experience (briefing, approval, disclosure, tracking).
Hands-on Meta Business Suite and TikTok business account administration.
Short-form video editing (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Rush) and confident copywriting.
Scheduled email marketing experience (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot) with reported order results.
Native analytics literacy and monthly reporting in Excel/Google Sheets, including UTM traffic.
Clear written English with range across multiple brand voices.
Willingness to strictly apply age-restriction and advertising rules on vaping content.
Based in Port Elizabeth; available for evening/weekend monitoring rota during campaigns.
