Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking stock, including weights, quantities, pallet allocation and quality.
- Verifying supplier prices against negotiated prices.
- Processing credit notes for shortages, incorrect weights and defective stock.
- Processing stock movements and investigating variances.
- Managing intercompany transfers and ensuring correct stock distribution throughout the Group.
- Maintaining FIFO stock rotation and minimising stock losses.
- Overseeing accurate weekly and monthly stock takes.
- Taking full accountability for stock control and accuracy.
- Supervising the Invoicing Clerk and Stock Merchandiser.
- Working with Odyssey Stock Control; Xero knowledge is an advantage but not compulsory.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the meat industry / meat processing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of meat is essential.
- Proven stock-control and stock-take experience.
- Strong numerical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and investigate stock variances.
- Strong leadership, attention to detail and accountability.
