Job Summary
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking 6 Printer Assistants to join its production team in Gqeberha.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Machine Operator with machine setup according to best operating practices.
Provide system feedback when required and assist with order-related processes.
Support the Operator during production to maintain high levels of productivity.
Monitor product quality and report any deviations to the Operator.
Operate the machine at an acceptable competency level in the absence of the Operator.
Follow reasonable instructions from the Supervisor.
Motivate, organise and mentor the machine crew.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the department.
Ensure ISO procedures and principles are consistently followed.
Proactively participate in initiatives aimed at improving machine availability.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric.
Qualification in the Trade of Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding.
Computer literacy is essential.
Understanding of ink viscosity and colour matching.
Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required.
Proactive, responsible and reliable approach to work.
Ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail.
