Maintenance Manager required for a reputable company based in East London
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and reliability of equipment, machinery, refrigeration systems, and facilities within a busy meat processing and retail environment.
Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Plan and manage preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
Ensure equipment, machinery, and refrigeration systems operate efficiently and safely.
Diagnose and coordinate repairs of mechanical and electrical faults.
Manage maintenance schedules, contractors, and maintenance staff.
Minimise downtime and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food industry standards.
Maintain maintenance records, asset registers, and spare parts inventory.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role.
Sound mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience maintaining production, processing, manufacturing, or FMCG equipment.
Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns when required.
Valid driver's licence.
Preferred:
Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in food manufacturing, refrigeration, cold storage, or FMCG environments.
