JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant (Maternity Relief Contract)
LOCATION: Chiselhurst, East London
CONTRACT DURATION: 4 Months (Maternity Relief)
SALARY: R13,000 per month
JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join their team on a 4-month maternity relief contract. This position requires an individual with strong administrative and data capturing skills, a finance-related qualification, and the ability to work accurately within a busy, deadline-driven environment.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support, maintain accurate records, capture and process data, and assist with general office administration while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurate and efficient data capturing on internal systems and spreadsheets.
• Processing and maintaining financial and administrative records.
• General office administration and clerical support.
• Filing, scanning and document management.
• Preparing reports, spreadsheets and administrative documentation.
• Maintaining databases and ensuring information is captured accurately.
• Assisting with reconciliations and finance-related administrative tasks.
• Managing correspondence and responding to administrative queries.
• Supporting the team with day-to-day operational and administrative functions.
• Ensuring all tasks are completed within required deadlines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping, Financial Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' administration and data capturing experience.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage a high workload.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience in a finance, accounting or administration environment.

This is a demanding role with a high-volume workload. The successful candidate must be comfortable working under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy.
