We are seeking a Wave Owner to lead the end-to-end management and coordination of server cutover activities during cloud migration waves. This role serves as the central point of accountability for a defined move group, ensuring successful migration execution from initial planning through hypercare support. You will drive cutover readiness, coordinate technical and business stakeholders, manage risks and deliver on-time, high-quality migrations while continuously improving the cutover process. This is a hands-on delivery leadership role requiring strong coordination, stakeholder management and cloud migration execution experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all cutover activities for servers within the assigned move group, acting as the single point of accountability from planning through hypercare.
  
• Engage with the PA team to confirm design sign-off status and resolve outstanding design issues.
  
• Mobilise migration execution teams to develop comprehensive cutover plans; ensure completion of intake forms and initiation of server replication processes.
  
• Schedule and lead cutover planning and cutover execution sessions; coordinate post-migration hypercare activities.
  
• Review and validate cutover plans for completeness and accuracy; ensure alignment between technical execution plans and designs; track and manage dependencies and critical path items.
  
• Engage with business and technical teams to drive timely completion of pre-cutover activities, including account vending, Active Directory group creation, perimeter firewall requests, DNS requests and other infrastructure prerequisites.
  
• Collaborate with application teams to confirm application-specific readiness ahead of cutover.
  
• Provide regular status reporting on move group progress, covering migration milestones, server cutover status and success rates, schedule adherence and forecasts.
  
• Identify, document and escalate risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies; maintain accurate risk and issue registers with clear ownership and action plans; update heatmaps.
  
• Collect formal sign-offs on cutover plans, cutovers and hypercare completion.
  
• Support issue resolution during the hypercare period; coordinate troubleshooting with technical teams; ensure proper handover to operational support; document lessons learned and process improvement opportunities.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the overall cutover process.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in end-to-end cloud migration or large-scale infrastructure transformation programmes, ideally within financial services or similarly regulated environments.
  
• Strong track record of coordinating complex cutover and go-live activities involving servers, networking, identity and application dependencies.
  
• Solid understanding of cloud migration concepts, server replication, Active Directory, firewalls, DNS and related infrastructure prerequisites.
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders effectively.
  
• Demonstrated experience in risk identification, issue escalation, status reporting and driving action to resolution.
  
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage critical path dependencies and multiple concurrent workstreams.
  
• Experience leading or facilitating cutover planning and execution sessions.
  
• Ability to work under pressure during cutover windows and provide effective hypercare support.
  
• Immediate availability strongly preferred.
