ENVIRONMENT:
A global leader in Customer Engagement Tech seeks a highly experience and self-driven Software Quality Engineer to join its Agile team where you will play a crucial role ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of its software products. You will help design test plans and implement quality assurance processes. You will also perform Regression Testing, execute manual and automated tests to identify defects while continuously working to improve QA processes and procedures. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar discipline with 8 years’ experience in a similar role including proficiency with HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL, JIRA & Xray. The role includes flexible hours to support North American time zones.
DUTIES:
· Collaborate with Agile Team members to understand project requirements and user stories.
· Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications.
· Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure software quality.
· Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
· Perform Regression Testing to validate software updates and changes.
· Document and report bugs and issues using issue tracking tools.
· Work closely with Developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues.
· Continuously improve QA processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements based on QA findings.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience/Skills –
· 8+ Years’ experience as a Software Quality Engineer.
· 8+ Years of experience and knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL.
· Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. Hands-on experience with project management tools, for example JIRA and Xray.
· Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
· Hands-on experience with Windows applications and Web applications.
· Experience with Defect Management software and procedures.
· Excellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) and Test Methodologies from project definition to post-deployment documentation cycles.
· Document processing/ECM experience preferred.
· Financial Sector experience preferred.
· Standard office working conditions PLUS flexible hours to support North American time zones.
