Role Overview: Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Travel Designer for a leading luxury safari and travel company with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled travel professional with a passion for luxury travel, conservation, and crafting unforgettable journeys across Southern and East Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing bespoke itineraries, managing agent relationships, driving sales, and delivering exceptional guest experiences from enquiry through to travel completion. ? Requirements: • Matric with Mathematics (Standard Grade or higher) • Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality advantageous • 4–5 years' experience in a senior travel design, reservations, or safari sales role • Proven experience creating bespoke luxury itineraries across Africa • Strong knowledge of Tourplan and Microsoft Office • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills • Strong communication and client service abilities • Additional European languages advantageous • Proven ability to upsell and maximise booking value • Strong understanding of luxury safari lodges, camps, and destinations across Africa ? Key Responsibilities: • Design and sell bespoke luxury travel itineraries across Southern and East Africa • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, guests, and industry partners • Prepare accurate quotations and manage booking administration • Coordinate booking logistics and ensure seamless itinerary execution • Identify upselling opportunities to enhance guest experiences and maximise revenue • Maintain detailed booking records and documentation • Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery • Monitor profitability, margins, and revenue performance • Stay informed on product developments, destination updates, and industry trends • Deliver exceptional service and support throughout the booking journey ?
