IMPORTANT LOCATION NOTICE:
This position is based on a remote industrial site in Caledon, approximately 85–90km outside of Cape Town.
Candidates must be fully comfortable with daily travel to site or willing to relocate closer to the area if required. This is NOT a Cape Town city-based position. Please only apply if the location and commuting distance are practical for you long term.

Employment Type:
Project-based contract linked to a 3-year operational project, with strong potential for long-term extension and permanent placement.

Salary:
R30,000 – R35,000 per month

Role Overview:
Midvaal Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Site Manager to oversee industrial cleaning operations within a plant environment. The successful candidate will manage staff, operational activities, site resources, supplier coordination, client relations, and health & safety compliance on site.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise approximately 74 on-site employees
• Oversee industrial cleaning and operational activities within the plant
• Coordinate equipment, operational resources, and workflow
• Liaise with and manage external suppliers
• Plan and schedule daily operational duties
• Draft and implement risk assessments and safety procedures
• Maintain strong relationships with multiple departments on site
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
• Monitor workforce productivity and service delivery
• Report operational performance to management

Minimum Requirements:
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal record
• Proven supervisory or management experience in an industrial environment
• Experience in cleaning services, contract services, or plant operations advantageous
• Strong health and safety knowledge
• Ability to compile risk assessments and operational documentation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage a large workforce effectively
• Must be willing and able to work on a site based outside of Cape Town
