Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Club General Manager for a luxury health and fitness club operating in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. This is a dynamic role suited to a hospitality or fitness professional who thrives in a high-end service environment and is committed to delivering exceptional member experiences.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Club General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, support staff management, and ensure the club operates efficiently while maintaining its reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and manage staff, fostering a professional, motivated, and high-performing team
• Ensure exceptional member experiences through personalised service and attention to detail
• Assist with operational planning, administration, and reporting
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene
• Implement and support club policies, procedures, and standards
• Assist with budgeting, cost control, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Contribute to marketing, membership retention, and growth strategies
Requirements:
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities
• Ability to work across multiple locations (Eastern Cape & KZN)
• Proactive, professional, and member-focused approach
• Experience with budgeting, reporting, and operational oversight
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
