Job Summary
Our client, a well-established and respected company operating within the FMCG and Food Services industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Sales Representative to join their team based in Cape Town.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the food service industry
- Proven experience calling on:
- Food service customers
- Forecourt customers
- Strong communication, listening, and conflict management skills
- High level of professionalism and customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Valid driver’s licence essential
Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory
- Drive sales volumes to meet and exceed budget targets
- Present and promote the full range of company products to customers
- Influence customer ordering behaviour and maximise product uptake
Customer Relationship Management
- Conduct regular customer and retail store visits
- Assess customer needs and identify growth opportunities
- Ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer concerns and maintain strong business partnerships
Stock and Order Management
- Implement strategies to minimise out-of-stock occurrences
- Manage stock returns and reduce credit notes
- Ensure claims are accurately documented and submitted timeously
Territory and Performance Management
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to maximise ROI
- Set and monitor personal sales goals aligned to company objectives
- Maintain accurate reporting and sales administration
