Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Retail IT Project Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment based in Cape Town. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, business, and operations, and who enjoys delivering impactful IT solutions across stores, supply chain, and head office.Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver IT projects across the retail value chain, including POS, ERP, merchandising, supply chain, eCommerce, and store systems
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies
Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams
Drive system implementations, upgrades, and rollouts across multiple retail locations
Ensure projects align with business objectives and retail operational needs
Apply strong governance, documentation, and reporting standards
Support change management, user adoption, and post-implementation reviews
Requirements
Key Requirements
5+ years’ experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably within Retail or FMCG
Strong understanding of retail systems (POS, ERP, WMS, merchandising, loyalty, etc.)
Proven experience managing vendors, system integrators, and internal teams
Solid grasp of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving retail environment
