<h3><strong><u>Job description:</u></strong></h3><p style="text-align: justify;"> </p><p style="text-align: justify;">The Fitters department currently has a vacancy for an assertive, hands-on and attentive to detail individual to join their team as a Fitters Team Leader<strong>.</strong> Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> </p><ul><li><p>Conducting mechanical inspections on all production machinery when required</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance of routine planned and preventative maintenance</p><ul><li><p>Hydraulic systems (leaks repairs, Filter change outs)</p></li><li><p>Conveyor belts, drives, pulleys and replacement of rollers</p></li><li><p>Lubrication tasks</p></li><li><p>V-belts replacements</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Attend breakdowns when required on all Production machinery</p></li><li><p>Fault finding on hydraulic systems</p></li><li><p>Servicing of various hydraulic components</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Coordinate and plan day-to-day activities and the flow of tasks and responsibilities</p></li><li><p>Drive C-Works maintenance system and ensure workshops utilization targets are met consistently</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and monitor quality and efficiency of work processes and inter-departmental work flow, report any issues or possible improvements to Engineering Manager</p></li><li><p>Conduct spot checks on work progress and ensure quality control measures are implemented</p></li><li><p>Attend, oversee and assist with repairs and maintenance of existing components </p></li><li><p>Assist the Engineering Manager with coordinating repairs and maintenance tasks</p></li><li><p>Assist the Engineering Manager to ensure all team members comply with the safe working procedures</p></li><li><p>Generate job cards as needed and manage the distribution thereof to the various teams</p></li><li><p>Abide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act</p></li><li><p>Provide feedback on work status to the Maintenance Engineer and Engineering Manager</p></li><li><p>Support the Engineering Manager in ensuring compliance to timekeeping, productive output, discipline and work programs within the Fitters department</p></li><li><p>Any other tasks including administrative functions such as completing timesheets, filing, reports as agreed with the Engineering Manager, suited to this level of responsibility</p></li></ul><p> </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><u>Qualifying Criteria:</u></strong></p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Qualified Fitter Artisan (Red Seal certification)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Qualified Fitter in a heavy industry environment</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Must have experience in a leadership role or position </p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Must be physical fit and able to work at heights</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Must be able to work in confined spaces</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Strong Hydraulic background will be an advantage</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Valid driver’s license</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Extensive knowledge of power tools</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Knowledge and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Rules and regulations</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Ability to work under challenging conditions</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Excellent communication skills (understand, read and write in English)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Computer Literate (Excel and Power Point)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Must be prepared to work overtime when required</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><u>Qualifying Attributes</u></strong></p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Hard-working and self-motivated</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Time and priority management</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Excellent communication skills on all levels</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Display a professional work approach</p><p style="text-align: justify;">· Ability to work in;
