Job Summary
This luxury hospitality portfolio is seeking a senior, commercially minded Facilities Manager to take ownership of the physical performance, operational readiness, and long-term asset integrity of a diversified luxury hospitality and residential property portfolio across Cape Town and the Winelands. The portfolio comprises a mix of stabilized trading hospitality assets, income-producing leased buildings held for future redevelopment, and assets progressing through refurbishment, development, and Land Use Management System (LUMS) and statutory approval processes. This is a hands-on leadership role. The Facilities Manager is directly responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and verifying day-to-day and planned maintenance activities across the portfolio, while also designing, implementing, and maintaining formal maintenance systems, asset registers, and lifecycle plans to ensure that all assets — once developed, refurbished, or commissioned — transition into structured, preventative maintenance programmes and long-term operational control frameworks. The role works in close daily alignment with Operations, Revenue, Development, and Finance to ensure facilities and maintenance decisions support brand standards, regulatory compliance, tenant obligations, revenue protection, and long-term asset value — never constraining occupancy, lease income, guest experience, or future investment performance. Requirements: Senior facilities leadership experience within luxury hospitality, boutique hotels, or high-end residential or mixed-use property portfolios A technical qualification with strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire, pools, access control, backup power, and water systems) Proven track record managing preventative maintenance across multi-site portfolios Commercially astute, with demonstrated budget ownership and lifecycle cost management capability Calm; structured problem-solver who performs effectively under operational pressure Confident operating within executive and cross-functional leadership teams Cape Town–based (or willing to relocate) with a valid driver’s license and own car
