Live-Out Position Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Reservations Manager for a luxury property group based in Cape Town. This role blends hands-on travel design, team leadership, systems governance, and commercial oversight to ensure seamless guest journeys and exceptional service delivery across all luxury properties. The successful candidate will support the Reservations leadership team, stepping into full management responsibilities when required, while driving accuracy, efficiency, and high-end guest experience standards across all booking channels. Requirements: ✔ Proven experience in a reservations, travel design, or luxury hospitality leadership role ✔ Strong background in luxury travel, safari, or high-end hospitality environments ✔ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with strong client relationship ability ✔ High attention to detail with proven accuracy in complex booking environments ✔ Strong leadership and team supervision experience ✔ Experience with reservation systems, CRM platforms, and booking tools (ResRequest / Safari Portal / HubSpot advantageous) ✔ Strong commercial awareness including margins, revenue, and discount control ✔ Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment ✔ Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities: • Support and supervise the Reservations team in delivering seamless guest experiences • Design and curate luxury travel itineraries for B2B and B2C clients • Manage high-value and complex bookings, ensuring operational feasibility and alignment • Oversee booking accuracy, system integrity, and CRM hygiene • Assist in monitoring occupancy, booking pace, and revenue performance • Support upselling, cross-selling, and conversion optimisation strategies • Handle escalated guest and agent queries professionally and efficiently • Ensure rate integrity, discount compliance, and booking policy adherence • Liaise with Finance regarding payments, reconciliations, and queries • Support team training, onboarding, and performance development • Assist with reporting, forecasting, and commercial insights • Step into full management capacity when required Candidate Profile: • Detail-driven and highly organised hospitality professional • Confident leader with a calm and solution-focused approach • Strong commercial thinker with a passion for luxury travel • Excellent relationship builder with a guest-first mindset • Proactive, adaptable, and performance-driven Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
