Job Summary
A high-growth data and analytics business based in Bryanston, Johannesburg is seeking a driven Senior Solutions Sales Specialist to lead new business development and grow strategic client relationships.
This is a solution-selling role focused on identifying opportunities, influencing senior stakeholders, and closing high-value deals within the retail, telecommunications, media, and property sectors.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree)
- Minimum 5+ years’ sales experience (solution selling essential)
- Proven track record in new business development and closing deals
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders / decision-makers
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport
- Experience in retail, telecoms, media, or property sectors
- Exposure to data analytics / data solutions / location analytics
- Strong CRM usage experience
- Existing industry network
- Travel is required
Responsibilities:
New Business Development and Sales
- Drive revenue, margin, and cost targets
- Identify, prospect, and convert new clients
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Develop and execute strategic account plans
- Close high-value, solution-based deals
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term, trusted client relationships
- Expand existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
- Deliver strong client service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Conduct product demos and presentations
Solution Selling and Commercial Strategy
- Translate client needs into tailored data-driven solutions
- Work with product and analytics teams to shape offerings
- Develop compelling proposals and manage negotiations
- Support go-to-market strategies and forecasting
Sales Operations
- Maintain CRM and pipeline accuracy
- Manage sales administration and reporting
- Represent the business at client events and industry engagements
