Receptionist – Luxury Lodge & Spa | Bela Bela Location: Bela Bela Property Type: Luxury Lodge & Spa Salary: R7,500 – R9,000 Negotiable DOE | Live-In Position Overview: Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and well-presented Receptionist to join a prestigious luxury lodge and spa in Bela Bela. The ideal candidate will have previous front-of-house or administrative experience within a 5-star hospitality or spa environment, demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills. Experience Required: Previous reception or office assistant experience (5-star hotel or spa environment preferred). Contactable references and a proven track record of reliability and professionalism. Key Specifications: Strong administrative and organisational abilities. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Fluent in both spoken and written English and Afrikaans. Professional appearance with high grooming standards. Strong sense of honesty, courtesy, and punctuality. Self-disciplined; confident, and able to work calmly under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Reports directly to the Spa Manager and Assistant Manager. Key Responsibilities: Arrive 30 minutes prior to shift start to prepare the front desk area. Manage the front desk, including answering calls, handling the switchboard, and welcoming guests. Ensure compliance with the company’s no cell phone policy during working hours. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the spa, property, treatments offered, and retail products. Operate and manage the spa scheduling system accurately. Maintain impeccable hygiene standards at all times. Assist management with day-to-day operational tasks as required. Successfully complete all practical and theory assessments set by management. Ensure that clients complete consultation cards before treatments, check for contra-indications, and ensure records are properly filed and updated. Professionally address all clients, using surnames, and ensure a warm, personalised welcome. Promote and upsell spa treatments and retail products. Handle general office duties such as faxing, receiving parcels, managing stationery, and message taking. Maintain the tidiness and presentation of the spa at all times. Assist the Spa Manager with administrative duties and event coordination as needed. Ensure the spa is fully set up and ready for the next day before leaving (30 minutes after shift end). Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Be flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
