The Opportunity
You will lead a team of regional sales agents, shape national and regional marketing initiatives, and work closely with technical, operations, and procurement teams to position the business as a preferred partner in a highly competitive agricultural market.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and manage a team of field-based sales agents across multiple regions.
Set, track, and achieve sales performance targets including volume growth, market penetration, and customer acquisition.
Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching with sales agents.
Review and approve weekly and monthly sales reports, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
Drive identification of new business opportunities, strategic accounts, and regional growth priorities.
Ensure consistent messaging, pricing alignment, and brand positioning across all sales activities.
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
Oversee product branding, packaging, launches, and marketing campaigns to support sales performance.
Support high-level customer engagements and manage escalated client matters when required.
Represent the business at farmer days, trade shows, industry events, and stakeholder engagements.
Build strong strategic partnerships with key industry players and influencers.
Collaborate with Technical, Operations, and Procurement teams on supply planning, forecasting, and customer demand.
Provide ongoing technical and product training to sales agents and key customers.
Lead internal training initiatives to ensure teams remain informed on industry trends and sales best practices.
Manage the sales and marketing budget, including return on marketing investment.
Deliver monthly management reports with insights, progress tracking, and strategic recommendations.
Analyse market data, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to inform decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
BSc (Agric) Animal Science or a similar agricultural qualification.
In-depth understanding of animal nutrition and the animal feed industry.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing or sales leadership role, preferably within agriculture or animal feed.
Proven experience managing, motivating, and developing sales teams.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
