Our client in the transport and logistics industry is currently looking to employ a New Business Development Consultant based in Pretoria or Johannesburg.

Requirements:
- Matric certificate (Grade 12).
- 3–5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in the logistics or transport industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Lead Generation
- Conduct research and networking to identify potential clients in target markets.
- Develop a robust sales pipeline to achieve set targets.
- Perform cold calls, schedule meetings.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries during onboarding.
- Assess client needs to deliver tailored logistics solutions.
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and present persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to secure contracts that meet company goals.
Market Analysis
- Track market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Report market insights and customer preferences to management.
Reporting and Administration
- Maintain precise records of all sales activities within the CRM system.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
