Role Purpose
To drive sales growth by managing customer relationships, processing orders, and ensuring excellent service within the FMCG environment. The Internal Sales Specialist will act as the key link between customers, the sales team, and operations, ensuring smooth order flow and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound and outbound sales calls with existing and potential clients.
Process customer orders accurately and timeously.
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and distributors.
Provide product knowledge and advice to customers.
Prepare and follow up on quotations.
Assist in resolving customer queries and complaints promptly.
Monitor stock levels and liaise with warehouse/dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.
Track sales targets and report on performance weekly/monthly.
Support external sales representatives with customer requirements.
Keep CRM and sales systems updated.
Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
Sales/Marketing qualification – advantageous.
2–4 years’ experience in internal sales, preferably in FMCG.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Computer literacy (MS Office, CRM/SAP/ERP systems).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Target-driven with strong negotiation skills.
