Join a well-established and reputable organisation within the finance function, offering stability, growth, and the opportunity to lead payroll operations across multiple countries including South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia.This role provides the opportunity to move beyond transactional payroll into a leadership position where you will drive process improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement system enhancements. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders, positioning yourself as a key contributor to the organisation’s operational success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the full payroll function across multiple regions
- Lead, mentor, and manage payroll and time & attendance teams
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including overtime, benefits, and third-party payments
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA)
- Prepare reconciliations, variance reports, and statutory submissions
- Manage payroll systems (Sage, Pay Space) including upgrades and data integrity
- Drive process improvements and implement system enhancements
- Ensure audit readiness and support internal and external audits
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll operations
Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education:- National Diploma or Degree in HR, Accounting, or Payroll Administration
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll administration
- 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
- Proven experience managing payroll across multiple entities or regions
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Sage 300 or similar payroll/accounting systems
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership and team management ability
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and data security
