Job Summary
This role is ideal for a payroll professional who is highly organized, confident in statutory compliance, and comfortable handling complex payroll administration while delivering accurate, timeous results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full payroll function for monthly salary processing.
- Apply for tax directives and ensure compliance with SARS requirements.
- Complete statutory returns including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
- Perform IRP501 reconciliations and year-end submissions via EasyFile.
- Handle employee payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Administer garnishees and maintenance orders.
- Manage medical aid, provident fund, funeral fund, and other benefit administration.
- Ensure accurate and timeous capturing of employee data (engagements, terminations, transfers, promotions).
- Reconcile third-party payments including medical aid, provident funds, and industry bodies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure client satisfaction through accurate payroll delivery.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Diploma in Accounting, HR, or a relevant qualification (essential).
- Minimum 3+ years’ payroll processing experience.
- Sage VIP People certification (essential).
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation, BCEA, and SARS PAYE regulations.
- Solid Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong numeracy skills.
- Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization ability.
- Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
