COST / MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Worcester
Our client focusses on the cultivation, packing and exporting of table grapes and citrus and has a vacancy for a Cost / Management Accountant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for accurate costing for farming and packing operations
- Perform cost analysis and reporting for farming and packing operations
- Monitor and analyse inventory variances, production inefficiencies and wastage
- Product costing and inventory reporting and maintenance
- Management of inventory
- Collaborate with the production and finance teams to develop and implement cost control measures
- Support the budgeting process and financial planning
- Daily and weekly productivity reporting
- Assist with implementation of new systems
- General support to the financial manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, SAIPA, SAICA) preferred.
- Proven 2 – 3 years’ experience in cost and management accounting, preferably in the agriculture or farming sector.
