Job Summary
Our Client based in Humansdorp, is seeking to employ an experienced and competent Finance Manager to their team.
Requirements:
- Relevant financial qualification such as BCom, BCompt, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a Financial Manager or Senior Accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of SARS requirements and statutory compliance.
- Experience with multi-entity or group accounting.
- Payroll processing and staff management experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting systems, including Xero.
- ERP system experience.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work across diverse industries.
- Experience in the farming and manufacturing industries.
- Experience preparing management reports and budgets.
- Experience assisting with annual external financial audits.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Financial Management and Reporting
- Prepare, review, and analyse monthly management accounts.
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management.
- Monitor financial performance and report to management.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and reconciliations.
Statutory and Compliance
- Prepare and submit SARS reconciliations including VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and income tax.
- Ensure CIPC submissions and ongoing compliance requirements are met.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors, tax practitioners, and advisors.
- Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards.
- Review and assist with the annual external audit.
Payroll and HR
- Manage the full monthly salary and wage’s function.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and manage statutory deductions.
- Oversee payroll systems and internal controls.
- Maintain and implement business policies and procedures.
Payments and Cash Management
- Manage creditor payments and payment processes.
- Oversee bank accounts and perform reconciliations.
- Approve and control payment workflows.
Asset Management
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
- Monitor asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Ensure accurate asset reporting across all entities.
Staff Management
- Manage, supervise, and develop finance staff.
- Allocate duties and conduct performance management.
- Ensure effective internal controls and segregation of duties.
Group and Multi-Entity Support
- Provide financial oversight across multiple entities.
- Consolidate and coordinate financial information.
- Support management with financial insights and decision-making.
