Compliance Officer Sandton, Johannesburg
A property company based in Sandton is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer with 5–7 years’ experience in the property management sector. Candidates must come from a property management company and have strong knowledge of property-related compliance, administration and governance requirements.
Salary: Market related (experience and qualification dependent)
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric; relevant compliance, legal or property qualification.
- 5–7 years’ compliance experience.
- Must have experience working for a property management company.
- Strong understanding of property management processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent administration, reporting and document management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor compliance across the property portfolio.
- Ensure internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
- Maintain compliance registers, records and supporting documentation.
- Review and monitor leases, supplier documents and property compliance requirements.
- Assist with audits and prepare compliance reports for management.
- Track expiry dates for licences, certificates, contracts and statutory documents.
- Liaise with landlords, tenants, service providers and internal departments.
- Identify compliance risks and assist with corrective action plans.
- Support health & safety, POPIA, FICA and general governance compliance.
