An established and growing healthcare management organisation is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team in Port Elizabeth / GQ. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a structured and impactful organisation. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager: Finance and Accounting and you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting operational excellence across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Perform VAT (VAT201) calculations, submissions, and reconciliations
- Submit EMP201 returns
- Manage bank-related transactions and reconciliations
- Review and approve creditors reconciliations
- Process month-end journals and financial data
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions and loan accounts
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning
- Engage with Facility Managers to resolve queries and provide financial support
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Experience with SAGE Intacct or Evolution Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and MS Office skills
- Ability to quickly grasp industry-specific (healthcare) requirements
