You will be responsible for developing research agendas, maintaining economic and industrial databases, producing thought leadership content, and engaging with senior stakeholders across government, industry, and development finance sectors. The position also supports executive leadership through the preparation of strategic briefing materials, presentations, and market intelligence.

What You'll Do

• Conduct macroeconomic and industry research on local, regional, and global trends
• Produce comprehensive research reports and strategic recommendations
• Lead and enhance the organisation’s research agenda and analytical capability
• Develop and maintain macroeconomic and industrial databases
• Provide economic and industry insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders
• Assess emerging opportunities, risks, and development trends
• Support strategic planning and organisational decision-making processes
• Prepare executive briefing notes, presentations, and stakeholder communication materials
• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and industry engagement activities
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across government, finance, and industry sectors
• Support sector risk assessments and research-driven investment insights
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

• Honours Degree in Economics, Finance, Investment Management, or a related field
• Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Investment, MBA, or equivalent qualification advantageous
• Minimum 6 years' experience in economic, investment, or industry research
• Strong understanding of development finance and economic analysis
• Proven experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative research
• Strong sector and industry research capabilities
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing complex research projects
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and policymakers
• Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure
