Hire Resolve is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Underwriter specializing in Short-Term Personal Lines Insurance, to join our client's esteemed team in Johannesburg!
Requirements:
- Must have a valid RE1 qualification
- Class of Business in Short-term Insurance Personal Lines
- NQF 4/5 in Short-Term insurance
- At least 2 years of experience in underwriting personal lines insurance in the short-term insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and industry trends
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze insurance applications for personal lines policies
- Assess risk factors and determine premium rates
- Review and approve policy changes and endorsements
- Communicate with brokers and clients to provide underwriting decisions and recommendations
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective underwriting processes
