The Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company, providing strategic insights to management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
This role is ideal for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant or someone with up to 4 years of post-qualification experience.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Analyse key performance indicators, including Net Fee Income (NFI) and operating margins, to support business decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the budgeting process, monitor variances, and provide actionable commentary to department heads.
Compliance & Tax: Ensure full compliance with SARS regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Tax filings. Manage all audit requirements and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
Treasury & Cash Flow: Monitor daily cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
Internal Controls: Strengthen and maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk and ensure data integrity.
Team Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support on ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: CA(SA) designation is essential.
Experience: 0–4 years of post-qualification experience (articles included).
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (modeling and data manipulation).
Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant tax legislation.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar) is highly preferred.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
A "hands-on" attitude and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

This is a full time office based/ hybrid role in Melrose Arch.
