This is an opportunity for a commercially focused finance executive to play a central role in the growth and evolution of a diversified telecommunications and technology business. The successful candidate will combine strong financial leadership with the commercial insight needed to influence strategic decisions, operational performance and long-term value creation.

Reporting to the CEO and Board, the CFO will lead the organisation's financial strategy, planning, governance and performance across its operating divisions. The role spans financial planning and analysis, financial control, treasury, risk, compliance and operational finance, while also providing strategic input into growth initiatives, investments, pricing, commercial negotiations and potential corporate transactions.

The successful candidate will join an established and growing business with operations across retail, direct sales and enterprise markets. The organisation has a significant retail footprint across multiple provinces and services both government and private-sector customers. It offers an ambitious, collaborative leadership environment where the CFO will have the opportunity to shape strategic business direction and strengthen the financial platform supporting continued growth.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with broader business objectives

• Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Board and executive leadership team

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling processes

• Deliver accurate financial reporting, analysis and performance insights

• Monitor financial KPIs and identify opportunities to improve performance

• Strengthen financial controls, policies, compliance frameworks and corporate governance

• Oversee statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance

• Manage organisational risk, treasury and cash flow

• Partner with operational leaders to improve profitability and business performance

• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and operational efficiency

• Support pricing strategies, commercial negotiations and investment decisions

• Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and fundraising opportunities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team

• Build a culture of accountability, capability development and continuous improvement

• Develop succession planning within the finance function

• Manage relationships with investors, banks, auditors, advisors and regulatory bodies

• Present financial performance and strategic updates to the Board and key stakeholders

• Support investor relations and fundraising initiatives where applicable

• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive leadership team

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director or senior financial executive

• Strong financial leadership experience within the retail sector

• Experience across financial strategy, reporting and operational finance

• A track record of supporting business growth, transformation or organisational scaling

• Experience working with Boards, investors and external stakeholders

• Strong commercial and strategic financial acumen

• Advanced financial modelling and forecasting capability

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong leadership and people management capability

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• High attention to detail with a strong governance orientation

• The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment

• A recognised accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
