Business Development Manager – Payments & Fintech Hybrid role based in Linbro Park, Johannesburg
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition across South Africa and selected African markets. This opportunity is suited to a results?oriented professional with strong fintech expertise, exposure to African markets, and a solid technology background.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquire new clients across banks, retailers, PSPs, mobile money operators, digital lenders, and enterprise customers.
Manage full sales cycles from prospecting through to contract closure.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders.
Identify cross?selling and upselling opportunities in payments and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in business development or enterprise sales.
Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
Strong background in fintech, banking, or payments.
Exposure to African markets advantageous.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Commerce.
