PBT Group is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a collaborative delivery team, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams to deliver innovative business solutions. This role is ideal for a proactive analyst who enjoys understanding business challenges, improving processes, and translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements elicitation and process analysis through to solution delivery, testing, and business sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and requirement validation sessions.

• Translate business requirements into Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Analyse current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and business value.

• Produce process maps, impact assessments, gap analyses, and supporting business documentation.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirement clarification, and change management activities.

• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario reviews, defect clarification, and business sign-off.

• Ensure requirements remain traceable and aligned with delivered solutions.

• Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and requirement changes to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role.

• Strong experience in:

  • Business process improvement

  • Solution documentation

• Experience producing:

  • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)

  • Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs)

  • User Stories

  • Gap Analysis and Impact Assessments

• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Excellent planning, organisation, and documentation skills.

Advantageous Experience

• Experience using:

  • Jira

  • Confluence

  • Azure DevOps

  • Visio

  • Lucidchart

• Exposure to Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Payments, or Digital Transformation projects.

• Basic SQL and data analysis experience.

• Knowledge of enterprise systems and system integration projects.

• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or Scrum certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

• Relevant Business Analysis or Agile certifications will be advantageous.
