Chief Commercial Officer to lead its commercial growth agenda across multiple regions and markets. This role offers significant autonomy, strategic influence, and the opportunity to create a lasting legacy within a business experiencing substantial expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute the global commercial strategy to support long-term business growth.
- Drive revenue generation across multiple sales channels, strategic partnerships, and key accounts.
- Identify and unlock new market opportunities both locally and internationally.
- Establish and implement sustainable growth initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Sales Leadership
- Lead and optimise sales performance across regional and international markets.
- Develop and execute commercial plans to increase market share and revenue.
- Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing commercial teams.
- Establish performance measures and accountability structures to ensure commercial success.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Shape and elevate brand positioning across target markets.
- Oversee demand-generation strategies, marketing initiatives, and customer acquisition programs.
- Guide product launches and market-entry strategies to maximise commercial impact.
- Ensure alignment between commercial objectives and brand strategy.
Executive Leadership & Strategic Partnerships
- Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Committee to define business strategy and growth plans.
- Strengthen and expand key commercial relationships and international partnerships.
- Provide strategic insight to support investment decisions and business expansion initiatives.
- Represent the organisation at executive, industry, and stakeholder level engagements.
Commercial Performance & Profitability
- Drive pricing strategy and commercial decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Analyse market performance, revenue trends, and growth opportunities.
- Improve profitability through effective commercial planning and performance management.
- Monitor key commercial metrics and implement corrective actions where required.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's Degree essential.
- MBA or CA(SA) qualification highly advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior commercial leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading revenue-generating teams and functions.
- Demonstrated success in market expansion, revenue growth, and commercial execution.
- Strong experience developing and implementing go-to-market strategies and product launches.
- Exceptional commercial, financial, and analytical abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Experience operating across international markets and managing strategic partnerships.
- Ability to influence executive leadership teams, CEOs, and Boards.
- Strong strategic planning and business development expertise.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Southern Africa and internationally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and innovation.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
