This is a remote position.
This is a hands-on recruitment role for someone who is confident managing candidates through the recruitment process, from initial screening through to interview, reference checks, offer and acceptance.
The successful person will work closely with the Recruitment Lead and support multiple vacancies where speed, accuracy and strong candidate communication are essential.
Screen and shortlist candidates against role briefs
Conduct structured interviews and assess both skills and overall fit
Source and headhunt suitable blue-collar candidates across multiple channels
Manage the candidate experience through to offer and acceptance
Coordinate reference checks and required candidate documentation
Assess practical experience, licences, tickets and qualifications relevant to each role
Build and maintain active candidate pipelines for current and future vacancies
Conduct proactive outreach to passive candidates
Coordinate candidate interviews and availability
Keep candidates informed throughout the recruitment process
Maintain accurate candidate notes and update internal recruitment systems
Work closely with sourcing support where available to identify and screen suitable candidates
Support multiple vacancies with different priorities and deadlines
Provide regular updates on candidate progress and recruitment activity
Recruitment experience, ideally across full-cycle recruitment
Previous experience recruiting blue-collar, trade, construction, civil, mining, mechanical, transport or operational employees
Recruitment agency experience is an advantage
Strong sourcing and headhunting ability
Confident conducting structured candidate interviews
Strong communication skills and comfortable dealing directly with candidates and hiring managers
Good understanding of licences, tickets and practical experience relevant to blue-collar roles
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Able to manage multiple vacancies in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Strong candidate follow-up and relationship management skills
Good attention to detail when reviewing CVs and documentation
Experience using LinkedIn, Indeed, ATS, CRM or similar recruitment platforms
Reliable computer, stable internet connection and suitable remote working setup
Available to work Australian business hours
Based in South Africa
Experience recruiting roles such as Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Fitters, Plant Operators, Civil Construction Workers, Asphalt Personnel, Drivers, Supervisors, Leading Hands or Mechanical Trades will be highly regarded.
The role will start at 20 hours per week, working during Australian business hours.
As the recruitment portfolio and workload grow, there is potential for the position to develop into a full-time role with greater responsibility across candidate management and recruitment delivery.
